The Gunfire noise coming from the Gun Range on Gun Club Rd is intolerable. shots are often fired at the rate of 4000 rounds per hour, and this is common. The noise is constant, everyday except during heavy rains.! The landowner must be given a choice of moving the operation indoors ( commonly done, nationwide OR move the range somewhere else. The current gunrange permit must hinge on this. This noise level has risen unchecked for years....it is now well over 100 decibels and getting worst. Saturdays and Sundays are the worst....but it's bad every single day. Working outside is not an option, as you cannot even yell over the noise. Who wants to live like that. I'm certain that the same people who make this gun noise, would go through the roof if the same level of noise were present at their house 7day a week fro 9 am to 9 pM Yes that's right..9 PM....do the math..4000 shots per hour x 12 hours x 7 days a week x 52 weeks. go ahead..do the math..I'll wait.

The ball is in your court....start by driving over the the turnoff into the transfer station/ or the human society gate or the firestation, and just park there for a little while on a Sunday, say.

then we can talk about moving the range indoors, or elsewhere.

Move the gun range indoors. In addition to a more peaceful environment, the range could generate more revenue when it rains.

The gun club has been at that location since 1962. It should remain exactly where it is as it should be grandfathered. NIMBY's who moved in after 1962 should consider moving.

In 1962 very few people lived out around Jacob Miller Rd. The gun club should move out to a more remote place. Nobody likes change but it is inevitable.

It's not the gun clubs job to move. It's the people who decide they want to live there who need to do their due diligence. The gun club needs to stay right where it is. The people who are complaining are the same idiots who move next to the airport and complain about the noise and move next to the mill and complain about the smell.
